Airline Flight trackers are online tools that allow you to check the status of a particular flight from different Canadian and US carriers, so you can see real time flight information. Many airlines also provide flight tracking features on their Web sites.

They're easy to use and can save you time, money and aggravation. Consulting these trackers can alert you to significant delays or even flight cancellations and you can plan accordingly: no unnecessary waiting at the airport for departures or pick-ups; no extra parking fees.

Track Your Flights

Choose from the flight trackers listed below or type "flight tracker" into a search engine. Then enter basic information, such as the airline name, date, and flight number.

You might also have to enter the airport code. The current status of the flight will appear and you can alter your travel plans as needed.

  Flight Arrivals and Departures - Live Flight Maps, where you can track the status of any flight arriving or departing the United States or Canada.

• FlyteComm provides Canadian and US flight tracking
  FlyteComm has teamed-up with HelloFlight, an industry leader of local information, to provide you with an enhanced flight tracking and local information experience.

• FlightAware where you can browse by airline, airport, aircraft type.
  FlightAware's service area includes the United States (including Alaska, Hawaii, and Guam), Canada, the Caribbean, and the United Kingdom.

  For flights arriving in a service area from an international origin outside of a service area, FlightAware will be able to track the flight when it nears a service area.

  For flights departing a service area, FlightAware will be able to track the flight until it leaves the coverage area. Flights may not be tracked beyond that point unless they enter another service area.

• FlightStats.Track Flight Status, Airport Delays, and other flight and airport information just about anywhere in the world and not only for scheduled airlines, but also for charter flights and airlines belonging to Tour companies.

  By Flight: When the Airline and flight number are known.

  By Airport: When only the departure or arrival airport is known, with time of day for flight concerned. If Airline is known this helps the search.

  By Route: When only the route is known, along with the day of flight

  By Availability: It will check if any seats are still available on any given flight.

Many of the larger airlines have flight trackers on their Web sites for the flights they operate. Try the following:

• KLM’s Flight Status information for actual arrival and departure times is here.

• Lufthansa’s Arrival and departure information

• Delta's Flight Status and Updates page

• United Airlines Services and Information page includes Flight Status box and Baggage Tracking.

• United also has a Flight Statusbox whereby you can request information for the other Star Alliance members.

• South African Airline’s Flight Status box is here whether you know the flight number or not.

• American Airlines, has Flight Status notification whereby they will notify you by Text, Voice or email.
