Established in 1997, Star Alliance is the largest of the three airline alliances. Its airlines offer its customers a choice of more than 19,700 daily flights to 1,077 airports in 175 countries. It has 27 member airlines.
Sky Team flies to 856 destinations in 151 countries. It has a combined fleet of more than 2,000 aircraft. It has nine member airlines and two associates.
Oneworld travels to nearly 700 destinations in almost 150 countries and has access to 550 airport lounges. It has a combined fleet of approximately 2,500 aircraft. There are currently eleven member airlines and nearly 20 affiliate airlines.
